The term “small cities in Vietnam” refers to smaller regional cities outside of major tourist destinations such as Da Nang, Hanoi, and Nha Trang. According to an analysis by Yegi Eottae of transaction volume for accommodations in these small cities from January through this month, Quy Nhon saw approximately an 8-fold increase compared to the same period last year. Duy Xuyen saw its transaction volume increase by more than five times. Analysis suggests these small cities are highly preferred because they are adjacent to major tourist cities, offering good accessibility and the chance to experience the local atmosphere. As the number of repeat visitors to Vietnam increases, the range of travel destination options is also diversifying.
