According to MP Doctor on the 29th, ANGEL ROBOTICS Co., Ltd. surged to the daily price limit early in the session and, as of 9:13 a.m., is trading at 20,650 won, having risen by the maximum allowed daily limit (29.87%).

The company announced that it unveiled “phact,” an actuator module for physical AI, on this day. This product modularizes the actuator technology previously applied to wearable robots, and its development was led by ANGEL ROBOTICS Co., Ltd. founder Gong Kyung-chul, Director of the Future Technology Institute.

'Phact' is equipped with various control algorithms, including a model-based torque estimator, dynamic compensation, active friction cancellation (AFC), and impedance compensation. It features a built-in 6-axis inertial sensor that can estimate the motion status of robot joints and the robot’s body. With support from the Korea Institute for Robot Industry Promotion, the company plans to provide the initial production batch of 100 units free of charge to research institutions and robot development companies.

Actuators are core components that drive a robot’s joints, serving a role analogous to human muscles. As the physical AI and humanoid markets expand, the importance of actuator technology—which determines precise movement and control performance—is also growing.

Consequently, this is interpreted as reflecting expectations that companies that have secured a leading position in related platform and module businesses will benefit.
