[Edaily Reporter Shin Ha-yeon ] Stocks related to SOCAMM—a next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) server memory module—are surging across the board. This is believed to be driven by buying momentum in semiconductor stocks on the domestic market, led by SamsungElectronics and SK hynix, following a sharp rebound in semiconductor stocks on the New York Stock Exchange overnight.

According to MP Doctor on the 31st, as of 9:36 a.m., DaeduckElectronics(353200)is trading at 96,800 won—up 22,300 won (29.93%) from the previous trading day—and has hit the daily price limit.

At the same time, SIMMTECH Co., Ltd.(222800)is trading at 82,300 won, up 29.00%. In addition, MKElectron(033160)(25.02%), TLB Co., Ltd.(356860)(24.09%), and KoreaCircuit(007810)(23.77%) are each surging sharply. ISC Co., LTD.(095340)(18.40%), PEMTRON Corporation(168360)(17.68%), and TFE Co., Ltd.(425420)(13.68%) are also showing strong gains.

SOCAM is a next-generation server memory that implements LPDDR—a low-power DRAM—in a compact module form. It offers higher bandwidth and power efficiency than existing server memory while remaining removable, making it a new growth area of interest in the AI data center and high-performance computing markets.

Last night’s sharp rebound in the semiconductor sector on U.S. stock markets boosted investor sentiment. On the New York Stock Exchange, the Nasdaq Composite Index rose 2.78%, ending a six-day losing streak, while the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index surged by more than 8%. SK hynix American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) also rose by about 18%.
