[Edaily Reporter Shin Yeong-bin ] Shinsegae I&C Technology Co., Ltd. is partnering with KT to expand its Nutanix-based private and hybrid cloud business. The two companies plan to combine their cloud expertise with their telecommunications and infrastructure capabilities to address the growing demand for enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) transformation.

KTCorporation(030200)SHINSEGAE INFORMATION & COMMUNICATION Co., Ltd. (#SHINSEGAE I&C Technology Co., Ltd.) announced on the 4th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with KT to collaborate on enterprise private and hybrid cloud services.

The signing ceremony, held on the 31st of last month at Shinsegae I&C Technology Co., Ltd.’s headquarters in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, was attended by key representatives from both companies, including Jeong Pil-seung, Head of Cloud BIZ at Shinsegae I&C Technology Co., Ltd., and Lim Geon-ho, Executive Vice President in charge of Data Services at KTCorporation’s Enterprise Division.

Leveraging Shinsegae I&C Technology Co., Ltd.’s cloud expertise and KTCorporation’s business-to-business (B2B) customer base and infrastructure capabilities, the two companies will jointly pursue a Nutanix-based private and hybrid cloud business. They plan to identify corporate customers’ cloud migration needs and expand the relevant market by integrating their respective services and capabilities.

KTCorporation will identify new demand by leveraging its nationwide network of corporate customer touchpoints, as well as its telecommunications, network, and infrastructure resources, centered on “CloudLine,” its Nutanix-based hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) and disaster recovery (DR) service. Shinsegae I&C Technology Co., Ltd. will provide cloud expertise—including Nutanix architecture design and technical consulting—centered on “Sparos One,” its subscription-based private cloud service built on Nutanix HCI.

Through this partnership, the two companies aim to support enterprise customers in more efficiently adopting private and hybrid cloud solutions tailored to their specific environments. By leveraging standard Nutanix-based architectures and specialized technical support, they will reduce deployment complexity and the burden of initial investment, while providing an infrastructure foundation that accounts for integration with public clouds and future expansion of AI services.

In the medium to long term, the two companies plan to expand the scope of their collaboration to include high-value-added cloud services tailored to the era of AI business.

Lim Geon-ho, Executive Vice President in charge of Data Services at KTCorporation, stated, “As the use of AI in enterprises expands, the importance of infrastructure capable of comprehensively providing stable networks and cloud environments is growing even more.” He added, “Through this collaboration, we will support our customers’ cloud transitions and provide an optimal hybrid cloud environment that combines our telecommunications and infrastructure capabilities with cloud services.”

Jeong Pil-seung, Head of Cloud BIZ at Shinsegae I&C Technology Co., Ltd., said, “As corporate AI transformation gains momentum, the importance of cloud infrastructure capable of securely managing data and stably operating AI services is growing even more.” He added, “By combining the capabilities of both companies, we will provide services optimized for each customer’s needs and expand our scope into high-value-added cloud businesses for AI.”
