Cumulative sales of OOFOS surpassed 150,000 pairs by July. Notably, OOFOS has grown based on its brand competitiveness rather than relying on price wars, ranking first in Musinsa’s monthly rankings for June.
The black version of its flagship flip-flop model, OOriginal, achieved a cumulative sales rate of 99%. The OOahh slide model is praised for its high level of customer satisfaction, thanks to its comfort suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The Plus line, introduced for the first time this year, has emerged as a new growth driver.
Upos’ growth was driven not only by shifting consumer trends toward products that combine functionality and style but also by strategies to expand the brand experience. To establish itself not merely as a recovery shoe brand but as a wellness lifestyle brand, Upos focused not only on product competitiveness but also on expanding consumer touchpoints.
The brand also differentiated its distribution strategy. Online, it introduced collaborative products and platform-specific strategic items, targeting customers with a strong interest in fashion and lifestyle. Offline, it expanded the recovery shoe experience through pop-up stores in department stores. In the second half of this year, Upos plans to further expand its online and offline presence and broaden its customer touchpoints by hosting wellness events. Moving forward, Upos has set a goal to grow beyond a summer flip-flop brand into a year-round wellness lifestyle brand.
A Upos representative stated, “For consumers today, comfort has become more than just a matter of how a shoe feels on the foot; it has evolved into a key lifestyle value that completes a healthy daily routine,” adding, “Upos will grow into a year-round lifestyle brand that combines its functional strength—recovery—with design and brand experience to promote wellness in everyday life.”
