According to their agency, HYBE·Geffen Records, on the 5th, KATSEYE’s “Animal” ranked No. 24 on the latest Hot 100 chart (dated August 8).
With this achievement, Cat’s Eye has now placed five consecutive songs on the Hot 100, following “Gnarly,” “Gabriela,” “Internet Girl,” and “PINKY UP.” They also reached No. 76 on the latest Hot 100 chart with their collaboration track “ICONIC BY MISTAKE,” featuring Ailette and LE SSERAFIM.
“Animal,” their new single released on the 24th of last month, is an upbeat pop track centered on the theme of inner instincts and wildness. World-renowned singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran participated in the songwriting process. The song reached No. 10 on the Billboard Global 200 and No. 12 on the Global (Excl. U.S.) chart. On Spotify’s “Weekly Top Songs” charts, it ranked No. 9 globally and No. 8 in the U.S.
CatsEye is a multinational girl group formed through a joint venture between HYBE and Geffen Records in the U.S. They debuted in the U.S. in 2024 following the global audition project “The Debut: Dream Academy.” They are set to release their third mini-album, “WILD,” on the 14th.
