Ms. A, who shared the story, explained that her child had to suddenly start using a wheelchair in the fourth grade due to a congenital muscle disease and received help from teachers serving as social service workers at the school. She revealed that among them, her child met a teacher who listened attentively to the child’s stories and showed the child affection.
Ms. A also shared a particularly heartwarming anecdote. “My child had an accident in the restroom, and the teacher called me,” she said. “I was far away and couldn’t get there right away, so while I was panicking, the teacher told me not to worry, saying she would handle it herself, and hung up.” She continued, “When I saw her after school, she had personally washed my child’s underwear, dried it in the sun, folded it neatly, and placed it in a plastic bag for me. When I apologized, she actually said she was sorry for making me worry as a mother by calling for no reason.”
She continued, “When my child was discharged from the military, she said she was sad to see him go, even handing out rice cakes, and we said our goodbyes in tears. She promised then that she would come to my child’s graduation ceremony, and she really did come, bringing gifts and a bouquet of flowers.”
She expressed her gratitude, noting that even recently—despite his busy schedule due to his rising fame—he still attended her child’s middle school graduation to offer his congratulations.
The comedian mentioned by Ms. A is Kim Kyu-won, who currently appears on Coupang Play’s “SNL Korea” and JTBC’s “Apartment.” Ms. A stated, “Our family is so happy that he’s doing well.
