[Edaily Reporter An Yu-ri ] Devsisters corporation(194480), the developer of the game "Cookie Run," announced on the 7th that it recorded second-quarter revenue of 52.7 billion won, an operating loss of 16.0 billion won, and a net loss of 15.0 billion won.

Revenue decreased by 42.7% year-over-year, while both operating profit and net income turned to losses compared to the previous year.

The Devsisters corporation explained that the short-term revenue decline was due to live games entering a restructuring phase during the quarter.

The company noted that the scale of the loss narrowed slightly compared to the previous quarter as management restructuring efforts progressed. The Devsisters corporation announced a management restructuring plan last May and has been operating under an emergency management system ever since. Starting in the third quarter, the company expects to see significant improvements in its financial situation through fixed-cost management and rigorous cost controls.

The company emphasized that significant improvements in profitability are also expected in the third quarter. *Cookie Run Classic*, which expanded its service to overseas markets on June 25, is showing consistent performance, particularly in the Thai market, while the new title *Cookie Run: Raise – Cookie Run: Crumble* (hereinafter *Cookie Run: Crumble*), released on the 30th of last month, is growing rapidly after demonstrating strong initial popularity.

In particular, *Cookie Run Classic* has re-emerged as a flagship title, surpassing 10 billion won in cumulative revenue just one month after its global launch. It continues to perform strongly, currently holding the No. 1 spot in popularity and No. 3 in revenue on the Thai Apple App Store, and these results will be fully reflected in the third quarter.

Last weekend, *Cookie Run: Crumble* ranked No. 1 in popularity on the Apple App Store, Google Play, and One Store in South Korea, and also took the top spot in Apple’s revenue rankings. It also secured top positions on overseas charts, including No. 2 in game popularity in the U.S., Thailand, and Taiwan, and is rapidly building initial momentum by surpassing 1 million cumulative users just four days after launch.

To ensure Cookie Run: Crumble’s firm market establishment and sustained long-term success, the company will invest in user acquisition (UA) marketing in regions showing significant metrics—such as South Korea, the U.S., and Taiwan—to maximize user acquisition. Additionally, the company plans to release its first update on the 13th to quickly enhance gameplay, followed by updates every two weeks to continuously provide new content.

Positive momentum was also observed in the IP (intellectual property) business, which generates non-game revenue through TCG (trading card games) and character merchandise. Related revenue exceeded 10 billion won for the half-year period, accounting for over 10% of total revenue. In the second half of this year, the company plans to gradually expand the scale of its IP business by broadening its scope to include licensing, with a focus on the North American market.

Additionally, “Cookie Run Card Collection,” a Roblox game title based on the TCG “Cookie Run: Bravers” card game, will be launched in the third quarter. The company will participate in the Roblox Developer Conference to be held in the U.S. this September to broaden its engagement with local stakeholders, developers, and creators, and to secure scalability for its service platform and IP ecosystem through Roblox.

A Devsisters corporation representative emphasized, “While maintaining our company-wide focus on cost efficiency, we plan to drive a turnaround in second-half performance by leveraging key momentum, including the success of new releases, the resurgence of existing core titles, and the expansion of our IP business.”
