[Edaily Reporter kim mi-kyung ] Nongshim has stepped up to provide Baiksan Water and food supplies to vulnerable groups struggling amid the heatwave.

Nongshim(004370)The company announced on the 7th that, in collaboration with the Korea Meteorological Administration, it visited vulnerable residents in Sanggye-dong, Nowon-gu, Seoul, affected by the heatwave and delivered 50,000 bottles of Baiksan Water and approximately 20,000 meals’ worth of ready-to-eat food items, such as Bonosoup and Alkunia Hwangdo.

This support initiative was organized as part of the “Heatwave Damage Prevention Campaign” led by the Korea Meteorological Administration. Since 2017, Nongshim has been collaborating with the Korea Meteorological Administration to raise awareness of summer heatwave safety guidelines and has continued to carry out various public-private partnership activities, such as providing Baiksan Water to heatwave-vulnerable groups.

A Nongshim official stated, “We hope that Baiksan and the food supplies will provide tangible help to residents struggling with the ongoing heatwave,” adding, “We will continue to work with the Korea Meteorological Administration to prevent heatwave damage and protect the health and safety of vulnerable groups.”
