[Edaily Reporter Hong Ju-yeon ] UBCARE CO., LTD.(032620), a company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI)-based medical operating systems (Medical OS), announced on the 10th that it recorded consolidated revenue of 101.4 billion won and operating profit of 6.2 billion won for the first half of the year. These figures represent increases of 7.9% and 302.3%, respectively, compared to the same period last year.(Image: GCMediAI)
GCMediAI explained that it expanded revenue across its key business segments, including medical infrastructure, data & marketing, commerce, and platforms.
Consolidated revenue reflected the impact of the recent acquisition of Vibros, and improved profitability at subsidiaries also contributed to the increase in operating profit. Kretem, a consolidated subsidiary, reduced its first-half operating loss by 1.7 billion won compared to the same period last year by optimizing its cost structure related to labor, materials, and quality.
The company is also accelerating its AI-based medical OS strategy. The recently officially launched AI medical solution, “Uisarang AI,” provides features that support the entire medical care process, including healthcare-specific speech-to-text (STT), S.O.A.P. automatic charting, AI diagnosis and prescription search, and an AI assistant.
GCMediAI is promoting the adoption of Uisarang AI in medical settings based on the Uisarang Electronic Medical Record (EMR) infrastructure currently in use at approximately 16,000 hospitals and clinics nationwide. This year, the company is concretizing the expansion of its Medical OS-based services by integrating Dotdak, out-of-pocket insurance claims, and financial services with Uisarang EMR. Going forward, the company plans to continuously expand the scope of integrated services while pursuing a subscription-based business model that combines AI with cloud EMR.
Kim Jin-tae, CEO of GCMediAI, stated, “In the first half of the year, our financial results reflected growth in core businesses such as medical infrastructure and commerce, as well as improved profitability at our subsidiaries.” He added, “In the second half, we will achieve our annual operating profit guidance of 13.5 billion won by expanding the adoption of Uisarang AI in medical settings and expanding new revenue models, while accelerating our transformation into an AI-based medical OS company.”
