[Edaily Reporter An Yu-ri ] NC (NCsoftCorporation(036570)) posted surprise earnings, with second-quarter operating profit surging 1,053% year-over-year. Revenue was driven by the success of Lineage Classic, stable sales of Aion 2, and the full-scale launch of its casual mobile game business.

On the 11th, NC announced its second-quarter financial results (on a consolidated basis), reporting revenue of 770.5 billion won, operating profit of 173.9 billion won, and net income of 131.2 billion won.

Revenue and operating profit rose 101% and 1,053%, respectively, compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin stood at 23%.

By region, revenue breakdown was 48% from South Korea, 25% from Asia, and 27% from North America, Europe, and other regions. Overseas revenue accounted for 52% of total revenue, surpassing the domestic share. The proportion of overseas revenue has increased for four consecutive quarters, demonstrating steady growth.

PC game revenue reached 343.8 billion won, setting a new quarterly record for the second consecutive quarter. *Lineage Classic* continued its success, generating 185.5 billion won in revenue. As of the end of June, cumulative revenue over the 140 days since its launch stood at 269.1 billion won. *Lineage Remastered* also grew by 18% compared to the previous quarter, demonstrating the robust competitiveness of the company’s core IP.

Aion 2 recorded revenue of 71.9 billion won, maintaining stable revenue performance.

Revenue from mobile games rose slightly to 185.3 billion won compared to the previous quarter. *Lineage M* grew by 4% quarter-over-quarter, maintaining a steady growth trajectory despite intensifying competition in the mobile game market.

Revenue from mobile casual games totaled 169.7 billion won. The global mobile game platform JustPlay was consolidated into the financial statements for the first time. The mobile casual business accounted for 22% of total revenue, contributing to the expansion of the foundation for mid- to long-term growth.

NC emphasized that the mobile casual business segment has quickly established itself as one of the company’s three major growth pillars and has begun to make a significant financial contribution.

Meanwhile, NC plans to participate in “Gamescom 2026,” the world’s largest game show opening on the 26th in Cologne, Germany, to expand its presence in the global market. The company plans to showcase its lineup of new global titles, including Aion 2, Cinder City, and Project Bonfire.
