KTCorporation Alpha announced on the 12th that it recorded consolidated revenue of 192.5 billion won, operating profit of 26.2 billion won, and net income of 24.7 billion won for the first half of 2026. Compared to the same period last year, operating profit increased by 0.3% and net income by 2.8%.

Revenue decreased by 2.1% compared to the same period last year. The company explained that this was due to a shift in its business model—as part of efforts to improve operational efficiency—toward reducing the direct purchase structure, where the full amount of product sales is recognized as revenue, and expanding the consignment transaction structure, where only commissions are reflected in revenue.

Transaction volume, which indicates the actual level of platform activity, increased by 9.0% year-over-year for the first half of the year, demonstrating substantial growth in scale.

Looking at individual business segments, the transaction volume for the T-commerce channel “KT Alpha Shopping” grew by 3.0% year-over-year in the first half. This was driven by efforts to diversify the channel—such as differentiating exclusive brands and expanding shopping lounges—as well as targeted promotions for the spring/summer season and “Family Month,” which successfully attracted new customers.

The mobile gift certificate service “Giftyshow” set new all-time records for both revenue and transaction volume. First-half revenue rose 4.7% year-over-year to 64.5 billion won, while transaction volume surged 14.6%. This growth was driven by expanded partnerships with major platforms such as Gmarket and Toss, as well as strengthened targeted marketing for subscription-based products linked to mobile plans and the corporate-exclusive “Giftyshow Biz.”

As part of its strategy for the second half of the year, KTCorporation Alpha plans to fully implement the “SHIFT 2026” management strategy announced last July to accelerate its transformation into a “Connected Commerce Company.” With AI Transformation (AX) as a core pillar, the company intends to enhance its AI search and recommendation systems based on data standardization and introduce AI shopping agents to provide a live broadcasting experience that transcends the limitations of data-driven home shopping.

CEO Park Jeong-min stated, “While maintaining a solid, profitability-focused business structure, our gross sales are growing steadily thanks to strengthened mobile transformation and improvements to our product lineup.” He added, “In the second half of the year, we will expand our exclusive T-commerce brands and strengthen our AI-based ‘Live-like’ strategy. At the same time, we will further enhance our business competitiveness by expanding the base of B2B clients in our mobile gift certificate business and advancing AI-based customer analysis.”
