[Edaily Starin KIM HYUNSIK Reporter] Girl group KATSEYE released their new mini-album "WILD" on the 14th.

“WILD” is an album featuring a total of five tracks, including the title track “Hootie Frutti,” as well as “PINKY UP,” “Animal,” “Bel Air,” and “That Way.” The album features a diverse range of genres, including dance-pop, EDM (electronic dance music), and synth-based contemporary pop.
The album features contributions from a host of world-class hitmakers, including HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk, global pop star Ed Sheeran, as well as Omer Padi, Blake Slatkin, Patrick Berger, and Johnny Goldstein.
Their agency, HYBE and Geffen Records, stated, “This album marks a new chapter for Cat’s Eye, as they embrace every aspect of their inner selves just as they are and move toward instinct and freedom,” adding, “The members’ confident attitude—unhesitatingly revealing their emotions, desires, and individuality while breaking free from the gaze of others and predefined norms—is woven throughout the entire album.”
The title track, “Hooty Fruity,” blends Brazilian Phonk-style percussion with rich pop sounds and a heavy drum beat. The agency described it as “a song that radiates hot energy, as if the sun were shining down.”
The full album was released at midnight today via various online music platforms. Among the tracks, “Pinky Up” and “Animal” were released as pre-releases and both charted on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
The music video for the title track will be unveiled at 1:00 p.m. today. The agency expressed anticipation, stating, “Cat’s Eye vividly showcased their free-spirited and instinctive charm through bold moves—including twerking—wet hairstyles, and barefoot group choreography.”
Cats Eye is a multinational girl group that debuted in the U.S. in 2024 as a joint venture between HYBE and Geffen Records. Formed based on HYBE’s “Multi-home, Multi-genre” strategy and “K-pop methodology,” the group won the New Artist of the Year award at the 2026 American Music Awards.
