On the 16th, Lee Sang-ho and Kim Ja-yeon personally announced the pregnancy news through their joint account, saying, “After three years of marriage, a baby has come to us.”
After spending the early stages of the pregnancy with caution, the couple waited until the 12th week to go public with the news. “We’re moving from two to three and looking forward to embracing this new beginning,” they said, expressing their joy at becoming parents-to-be.
In the video they shared, the couple—wearing hats labeled “DAD” and “MOM”—are seen beaming as they hold up an ultrasound image. They also revealed their excitement as they await their first child by hugging and kissing each other.
The couple met through their shared interest in fitness. They first met at a gym, began dating, and married in 2023 after about four years together. Now, three years into their marriage, they’ve announced the long-awaited news of their first child.
Born in 1981, Lee Sang-ho debuted in 2006 as part of KBS’s 21st open recruitment class of comedians and made a name for himself performing alongside his twin brother, Lee Sang-min. He later expanded his career as a trot singer, appearing on “Trot National Sports Festival” and finishing in 6th place.
Kim Ja-yeon, born in 1991, appeared on Mnet’s “Produce 101” in 2016 and debuted as a member of the group 1NB. After the group disbanded, she pursued careers as a singer and fitness content creator, and has even placed in the Musclemania World Championships.
