SamsungElectronics announced on the 17th that it has signed an official partnership with Activision Blizzard for the new first-person shooter (FPS) game “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.”

SamsungElectronics participated from the early stages of game development to optimize key products—including TVs, monitors, soundbars, and Wi-Fi speakers—for gameplay. The two companies also plan to jointly host various online and offline events and conduct global marketing campaigns to coincide with the game’s release.

“Call of Duty” is a game series that has led the global FPS market for over 20 years and boasts hundreds of millions of users worldwide. This new title was inspired by K-content and features Korea as a major setting.

The new title features SamsungElectronics’ “HDR10+ Gaming” technology and a 32:9 “Super UltraWide” aspect ratio. Users of the Samsung “Odyssey G9” gaming monitor, which supports the 32:9 aspect ratio, can view the in-game battlefield with a wider field of view than on a standard screen.

HDR10+ Gaming technology automatically optimizes brightness and contrast to match the game scene. The company explains that by precisely rendering colors and contrast—from dark indoor combat scenes to bright outdoor battlefields—it enhances the game’s realism and immersion.

Ahead of the new product launch, SamsungElectronics is also running a promotion via the Samsung Gaming Hub. On the 21st at 9:00 a.m. (Pacific Time), Activision’s live launch event, “Call of Duty: Next,” will be streamed live through the Samsung Gaming Hub.

The company will also provide PC access codes—allowing users to participate in the four-day beta test for the new title, running from the 21st to the 24th of this month—to 50,000 Samsung Gaming Hub users. Users of Samsung TVs and gaming monitors can enjoy previous titles in the Call of Duty series via major cloud gaming services, such as Xbox Cloud Gaming, without the need for a separate console.

SamsungElectronics will also set up a *Modern Warfare 4* experience zone at “Gamescom 2026,” the world’s largest gaming expo, taking place in Cologne, Germany, from the 26th to the 30th. Visitors will be able to get a sneak peek at the new title—set for official release this October—on Odyssey monitors. During the event, SamsungElectronics will also hold a giveaway of 500 “Modern Warfare 4” Bolt Edition game codes for visitors to its booth.

Lee Heon, Executive Vice President of SamsungElectronics’ Visual Display Business Division, said, “We will provide global users with an even higher-quality Call of Duty gaming experience through the picture quality of Samsung TVs and Odyssey monitors,” adding, “We will strengthen our leadership in the gaming market by expanding our collaboration with global game companies.”
