According to a report by Sports Kyunghyang on the 17th, the parents of the late Mr. A filed a lawsuit against Kim Bu-seon at the Seoul Eastern District Court, seeking repayment of the loan. The bereaved family claims that the principal amount Mr. A sent to Kim Bu-seon totaled approximately 199.74 million won, and that a significant portion of that amount remains outstanding. In response, Kim Bu-seon’s side maintains that she borrowed 80 million won from the deceased and has already repaid 10 million won, leaving a remaining debt of 70 million won. Kim Bu-seon’s side argues that the money the deceased regularly sent—3 million won per month—or gave on occasions such as holidays and birthdays was not a loan but a grant, and therefore there is no obligation to repay it. The first hearing in this case was held on the 14th. A provisional attachment worth 200 million won was placed on the apartment in Oksoo-dong, Seoul, owned by Kim Bu-seon last April. The next hearing is scheduled for October 2.
