[Edaily Reporter Park Jung-Soo ] Wontech ( WONTECH(336570)), a provider of laser and energy-based medical solutions, announced on the 21st that its U.S. market revenue for the second quarter of this year increased by 127% year-over-year. Revenue also rose by 51% compared to the previous quarter. WONTECH’s U.S. sales growth rate expanded from 78% in the first quarter of this year to 127% in the second quarter. WONTECH, which has been expanding its overseas business primarily in Asia, is now positioning the U.S. as a new growth hub and expanding its local sales network. In the U.S. market, the company is expanding sales centered on “Lavieen,” a 1,927 nm thulium laser. Lavieen is a product that has sold approximately 1,200 units cumulatively in Brazil. WONTECH is supplying Lavieen under the brand name “NOUVADerm” in collaboration with its U.S. partner, AMP. Since sales began in October 2024, NOUVADerm has surpassed cumulative sales of 500 units in the North American market. Last year, more than 260 units were sold, and sales in the first half of this year also increased by 15% compared to the same period last year. To expand its presence in the U.S. market, WONTECH plans to pursue a dual sales strategy combining sales through local partners with direct sales via its U.S. subsidiary. The company’s strategy is to diversify its sales channels by operating both partnership and direct sales systems simultaneously. The company is also strengthening its local organization. WONTECH has relocated and expanded its U.S. subsidiary and has completed the recruitment of key personnel in the sales and marketing departments. The company plans to further expand its organization and workforce in line with future business growth in the U.S. A WONTECH official stated, “This sales growth in the U.S. market is highly significant as it demonstrates that WONTECH’s technological capabilities and product competitiveness are being recognized in the world’s largest aesthetic market,” adding, “We plan to further strengthen our position in the U.S. market by enhancing cooperation with our partners and continuously expanding our sales channels.”
