[Edaily Starin KIM HYUNSIK Reporter] Comedian Park Jun-hyung received the “Jeon Yu-sung Award” at the Busan International Comedy Festival.

Park Jun-hyung was announced as the recipient of the “Jeon Yu-sung Award” during the opening ceremony of the 14th Busan International Comedy Festival (BICF, “BICF”) held on the 21st at the BEXCO Auditorium in Busan.
The “Jeon Yu-sung Award” was established by BICF to honor individuals who have contributed to the growth of comedy, following in the footsteps of the late Jeon Yu-sung, who passed away last September. Comedian Lee Hong-ryeol, who served as the presenter that day, presented the award to Park Jun-hyung, the first recipient.
Park Jun-hyung said, “I feel like Senior Jeon Yu-sung would say, ‘Why didn’t you create this while I was still alive?’” and brought laughter to the audience with his impression of the late comedian.
He continued, “I’m grateful for the opportunity to share laughter with all of you on the ‘Bukope’ stage. I will work even harder at comedy.”
The opening performance was hosted by TV personality Ji Seok-jin, and the stage featured performances by the band QWER, the cast of “Gag Concert,” and other domestic and international performing groups.
The 14th “Bukofe” will be held throughout the Busan area until the 30th. A diverse lineup of performances will take place, including “Kim Hak-rae & Lee Yong-sik’s Wild Talk Show,” “The Jeon Yu-sung Show Without Jeon Yu-sung,” “Gag Concert,” “B-Grade Hearing,” “Galgali Gag Concert: Return of the Legends,” and “Ongals.”
