[Edaily Starin Reporter KIM HYUNSIK ] Big Hit Music announced on the 26th that “SWIM,” the title track from the group BTS’s fifth studio album “ARIRANG,” has received a “Gold” certification in the singles category from the French National Union of Record Producers (SNEP).

The French Record Industry Association awards “Gold” certification to songs that have achieved a cumulative total equivalent to 15 million streams, calculated based on streaming, downloads, and physical album sales.
“Swim” became BTS’s 10th single to receive a “Gold” certification. Previously, “Dynamite,” “Butter,” “Boy With Luv,” and “FAKE LOVE” had also received “Gold” certifications.
Among these songs, “Dynamite,” released in August 2020, set the record for the fastest “Gold” certification for a K-pop song, achieving the milestone just three months after its release. “Swim” followed suit, receiving the certification in five months.
Meanwhile, according to the latest charts (dated August 29) released by Billboard on the 25th (local time), “Arirang” ranked 24th on the main album chart, the Billboard 200.
Previously, “Arirang” debuted at No. 1 on the chart dated April 4, remained at the top for three consecutive weeks, and has maintained its position in the rankings for five months, enjoying steady popularity.
“Swim” maintained its No. 5 position on the “Global (Excluding the U.S.)” chart for the second consecutive week, marking its 22nd consecutive week in the Top 5. It ranked No. 14 on the “Global 200” chart.
