Distributor Walt Disney Company Korea announced on the 26th, “The release date for ‘Avengers: Endgame Encore’ has been confirmed for the 23rd of next month,” adding, “It is scheduled to meet audiences in a new format called ‘Infinity Vision.’”
"Avengers: Endgame" depicts the final battle in which the Avengers risk everything to save the world’s fate amid a life-or-death crisis where only half of humanity survived following the finger snap of the MCU’s greatest villain, Thanos.
Released in 2019, *Avengers: Endgame* ranks as the second-highest-grossing film of all time globally and the highest-grossing foreign film of all time in South Korea. Upon its domestic release, it reached 1 million viewers on Day 1, 2 million on Day 2, 3 million on Day 3, 4 million on Day 4, 6 million on Day 5, 7 million on Day 7, 8 million on Day 8, 9 million on Day 10, on its 11th day, it surpassed 10 million, becoming the 24th film to reach that milestone and the third Marvel film to do so; it set various records, including surpassing 11 million on its 13th day, 12 million on its 17th day, and 13 million on its 22nd day.
Even seven years after its release, *Avengers: Endgame* not only holds the No. 2 spot on the all-time global box office chart but also firmly maintains its position as the highest-grossing foreign film of all time in South Korea, with a cumulative audience of over 13.97 million. Notably, this re-release will be screened in Infinity Vision-certified theaters, which offer the ultimate movie-watching experience through large screens, crisp and bright picture quality, and exceptional sound.
The poster, released on the 26th, centers on “Tony Stark” (Robert Downey Jr.) wearing the gauntlet equipped with the Infinity Stones, and features “Steve Rogers” (Chris Evans), “Bruce Banner” (Mark Ruffalo), “Thor” (Chris Hemsworth), “Peter Parker” (Tom Holland), and many other characters who made “Avengers: Endgame” a hit, creating a magnificent visual.
