[Edaily Starin KIM HYUNSIK Reporter] Singer Kim Dong-ryul will hold his first concert without an orchestra since his debut, his agency, Music Farm Entertainment, announced on the 26th.

Titled “Old Songs,” the concert is scheduled to take place sometime in October. The exact date and venue will be announced at a later date.
Kim Dong-ryul, who has long been known for performances featuring rich and majestic orchestral sounds, plans to break away from his typical style and present a stage that focuses entirely on his voice.
In a post on social media the previous day, Kim Dong-ryul stated, “This concert is a bit special. It’s the first time in my performance history—including my days with Jeonhwaryeom—that I’m preparing a stage without an orchestra.” He added, “While I love music and performances featuring grand, spectacular pieces, I’ve always wanted to try a show with a somewhat simpler arrangement at least once.”
He continued, “I also wanted to try out various stage production techniques that would be physically impossible if the stage were completely filled with performers,” adding, “It might feel a bit unfamiliar or strange to some people, but for others, it might be exactly the kind of performance that hits the spot.”
Kim Dong-ryul first gained recognition through the “College Song Festival” in 1993 and made his official debut the following year as a member of the band Jeonhwansa. After transitioning to a solo career in 1998, he gained popularity with songs such as “Should I Say I Love You Again” and “Drunken Confession.”
