[Edaily Reporter Kwon Oh Seok ] VIVOZON PHARMACEUTICAL(082800)is accelerating its entry into the Chinese market with its non-narcotic analgesic “Anapraz.” VIVOZON PHARMACEUTICAL announced on the 27th that it has signed a contract with Company G, located in Hainan Province, China, to supply finished Anapraz products. (Photo courtesy of VIVOZON PHARMACEUTICAL) This agreement will be implemented primarily in the “Boao-Lucheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone” in Hainan Province, a medical and biotech special zone designated by the Chinese government. The Hainan Medical Special Zone offers institutional advantages that allow for expedited clinical use and limited approval of innovative drugs authorized overseas, separate from the formal approval process of China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA). VIVOZON PHARMACEUTICAL plans to leverage Company G’s local network and distribution capabilities to establish a stable supply chain within the medical special zone. Company G is a healthcare specialist that has supported the market entry of overseas pharmaceuticals and medical devices not yet approved in mainland China, and possesses extensive practical experience in licensing and distribution within the Hainan Special Zone. Starting with this entry, VIVOZON PHARMACEUTICAL will proceed in stages toward obtaining NMPA approval for the entire Chinese market. The company’s strategy is to utilize real-world prescription data from Chinese patients accumulated in the Hainan Medical Special Zone to form partnerships with major local pharmaceutical companies and expand its presence in mainland China. In addition, VIVOZON PHARMACEUTICAL plans to sign a licensing agreement with its affiliate, Vivozon, for Anapra in Hainan Province. Under this arrangement, VIVOZON PHARMACEUTICAL will export the finished product to Hainan Province, and Vivozon will receive royalties accordingly. A representative from VIVOZON PHARMACEUTICAL stated, “This finished product supply agreement is a meaningful first step toward entering the Chinese market,” adding, “We will utilize the Hainan Medical Special Zone as a strategic foothold to expand the clinical value and competitiveness of Anaprazu into China and neighboring regions.”
