(Photo courtesy of Lotte Entertainment) The film “Gyeongju Journey,” which topped the Korean box office upon its release amid rave reviews from the press and critics, is keeping the excitement alive in theaters with a Q&A session featuring special guests, fueled by the audience’s enthusiastic response. First, Director Lee Hae-young, who has shared a deep cinematic bond with Park So-dam, will attend the “Killer GV Part 3” event taking place on the 4th of next month at Lotte Cinema World Tower. Director Lee Hae-young previously collaborated with Park So-dam on “Gyeongseong School: The Missing Girls,” her first lead role in a feature film, and again on the film “Ghost.” This GV, bringing together Park So-dam, Director Lee Hae-young, and Director Kim Mi-jo, will feature an in-depth discussion about the film—including Park So-dam’s nuanced performance in *Gyeongju Journey*—based on the deep trust they’ve built as actor and director. Director Byun Sung-hyun, who captured Lee Yeon’s intense presence in the film “Gil Bok-soon” and formed a bond with Byun Yo-han as the screenwriter for his upcoming film “Ripple,” has joined forces with the two actors out of a sense of loyalty. Park So-dam, who is close friends with the cast, has also joined them, promising an even more special gathering. Hosted by Jin Myung-hyun, CEO of Movement, Director Byun Sung-hyun, Park So-dam, Lee Yeon, and Byun Yo-han are expected to share rich insights into the film and a variety of behind-the-scenes stories. “Gyeongju Journey” is a family revenge drama about four women—a mother and her three daughters—who, after eight years of waiting, embark on a “deadly” journey for the sake of their youngest daughter, “Gyeongju,” who never returned from a school field trip. It marks the first commercial film by Director Kim Mi-jo, whose directing skills were recognized with her debut film, “The Seagull.” Notably, the film received critical acclaim at the 24th Florence Korean Film Festival held last March and was honored with the Audience Award. Lee Jung-eun, Gong Hyo-jin, Park So-dam, and Lee Yeon star as the four mother-daughter characters. Details about the “Gyeongju Journey” and the “Killer GV” can be found on each theater’s website and through Lotte Entertainment’s official social media channels.
