The new tvN Saturday-Sunday drama “Four Hands,” premiering on the 29th, depicts the school life of student pianist Kang Bi-o (played by Song Kang), who is hailed as a rising star at the Korea National High School of the Arts.
Raised in a family of artists and having shown exceptional talent on the piano from a young age, Kang Bi-o is recognized as a promising next-generation pianist both domestically and internationally, despite being only seventeen years old. In particular, having achieved consecutive successes in various competitions, he receives overwhelming support as a leading talent representing the Korea National High School of the Arts.

However, the reaction of some of Kang Biao’s classmates toward him is quite different from what one might expect. Although Kang Biao’s talent is recognized both inside and outside the school, there are also signs of unfavorable views directed at him. This raises the question of where this animosity toward Kang Biao stems from.
In photos released ahead of the premiere, we get a glimpse into Kang Biao’s daily life, where he cannot even enjoy his meals in peace. Sitting alone in a corner of the spacious cafeteria, Kang Biao quietly watches as uninvited guests suddenly approach him and hurl sarcastic remarks. His composed expression, showing little reaction to their advances, suggests that this is not the first time he has faced such situations.

The steadfast presence of Hong Jae-in (played by Jang Gyu-ri), Kang Biao’s childhood friend and a student at the same school, also catches the eye. Running over with her viola slung over her shoulder, Hong Jae-in confronts the students who were picking a fight with Kang Biao with a face full of anger, stepping in to defend her without hesitation.
Amid this tense atmosphere, attention is focused on why Kang Biao has become the target of a few classmates, and how Hong Jae-in—who has been by his side for so long—will serve as a source of strength for him.
“Four Hands” is a collaboration between Director Park Hyun-seok—who has demonstrated his distinctive directing style across diverse genres, including “Carelessly Fondly,” “Secret Forest 2,” and “Hometown”—and writer Shin Yi-won, who delicately portrayed the psychology and dynamics of human relationships in “Green Mothers’ Club.”
It premieres on the 29th at 9:10 p.m.
