[Edaily Reporter Shin Ha-yeon ] #EGIS Co., Ltd announced on the 1st that it has entered into a trust agreement to repurchase 3 billion won worth of its own shares to enhance shareholder value.
The contract period runs from the 31st of last month through March 2 of next year. The planned purchase price is 4,240 won per share, and the planned acquisition consists of 707,547 common shares, representing approximately 6.9% of the total issued shares. The company explained that, in accordance with the revised Commercial Act, it plans to actively consider canceling the repurchased shares in the future. EGIS Co., Ltd. stated, “We decided on this large-scale share buyback as part of our responsible management to enhance shareholder value, taking into account the company’s mid- to long-term growth potential and corporate value,” adding, “We will continue to implement shareholder-friendly policies by rolling out various measures to enhance shareholder value.”
The official continued, “EGIS Co., Ltd is expanding the application of its proprietary digital twin technology—which only four companies worldwide, including Google and Unity, have commercialized—to cutting-edge industries such as physical AI and aerospace,” adding, “To secure results in new business ventures, we have officially registered our solution on NVIDIA Omniverse and plan to launch a satellite data refinement solution in the aerospace sector during the second half of the year.”
Meanwhile, EGIS Co., Ltd is expanding its business scope into areas such as physical AI, aerospace, and autonomous driving based on its digital twin technology. The company has completed integration with NVIDIA Omniverse and testing for satellite data conversion, and is also pursuing the application of smart glasses following certification by the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA).
