[Edaily Reporter Park Jung-Soo ] TPC Robotics ( TPC Mechatronics Corporation(048770)), a company specializing in core drive technologies for AI-powered autonomous manufacturing and robot components, announced on the 2nd that it will launch a product lineup of robot actuators under its own brand.
Following the signing of a “Strategic Cooperation Agreement on Joint Development and Production” with China’s Zhejiang Huchuan Humanoid Robot (HCBOT) last May—which included the transfer of technology for actuators and related components, key parts for humanoid robots—TPC Robotics is accelerating the expansion of its robotics business by establishing an “AI Autonomous Manufacturing Research Institute.”
A company official stated, “The products being launched this time consist of a total of seven types: three types of rotary actuators applied to the neck, elbow, and hip joints of humanoid robots; three types of linear actuators applied to high-load areas such as the calf, thigh, and elbow joints; and one type of robotic joint module applied to the fingers,” adding “We plan to target domestic and international humanoid robot manufacturers and equipment companies for sales, and we will expand our business based on our existing distribution network in the automation sector and our partnerships with project contractors,” the spokesperson explained.
Meanwhile, TPC Robotics is currently working on a project to supply linear motors worth approximately 5 billion won to a global automation specialist in the second half of 2026. In August, the company secured an order for samples and an initial shipment worth approximately 600 million won, scheduled for delivery in September, and the remaining quantity is expected to be supplied sequentially in accordance with the project’s progress in the second half of the year.
A company official stated, “This product is a component used in the latest mobile display manufacturing equipment and is entirely exported to Vietnam. Since it is developed and produced in-house by our subsidiary, it offers cost competitiveness, and we expect it to contribute to sales growth and improved profitability in the second half of the year.”
The spokesperson added, “Although we incurred losses in the first half of this year due to intensifying market competition, we will accelerate our entry into the humanoid robot market by leveraging the supply of linear motors for the semiconductor industry and the launch of this robot actuator. We will spare no effort to not only return to an annual profit through sales growth and improved profitability but also to significantly improve our sales and earnings performance by the end of 2026.”
