LG Uplus announced on the 9th that it successfully hosted the “2026 U+ TECH PLUS” technology talent exchange event on the 7th at its Magok headquarters in Gangseo-gu, Seoul.
Now in its fourth year since its launch in 2023, “U+ TECH PLUS” is LG Uplus’s flagship event where current LG Uplus technical experts share research and development (R&D) achievements and real-world challenges with outstanding external talent. Approximately 500 people attended this year’s event, including LG Uplus employees, master’s and doctoral students from major universities, and faculty members.
This year’s event featured a total of 23 sessions centered on five core areas: △AI △Software △Networks △Security △Quality. LG Uplus’s research fellows and expert advisors in each field served as speakers, presenting the latest R&D developments and examples of technological innovation from multiple perspectives.
In particular, LG Uplus specifically invited master’s and doctoral students specializing in AI, networks, and security, significantly broadening the connection between university laboratories and the corporate workplace. Going beyond simply sharing technical achievements, the event also featured panel discussions on organizational culture and networking programs to provide practical information on job competencies and career development paths.
One master’s and Ph.D. student who attended the event said, “I was able to see the technical challenges and problem-solving processes that current employees deal with in their actual work.” Another attendee remarked, “It was an opportunity to understand the company’s R&D environment and technical roles.”
LG Uplus plans to expand exchanges with research talent in key technology fields and continue its collaboration with university laboratories.
