[Edaily Reporter Han Kwangbeom ] LG CNS (#LGCNES) has partnered with Chaum and Cha Healthcare—both part of the Cha Hospital Group—to introduce a customized AI agent at the Chaum Health Screening Center. The plan is to enhance the efficiency of medical services by applying AI technology throughout the entire screening process, from analyzing a customer’s past screening history to recommending test items, preparing results reports, and providing follow-up care.

LG CNS announced on the 9th that it held a “Kickoff Meeting for the Introduction of an Intelligent Health Screening Center” with Chaum and Cha Healthcare at the Chaum Health Screening Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and has begun a proof of concept (PoC) for the implementation of Agent AI. This marks the first collaborative project since LG Corp. made a strategic investment in the Cha Bio Group last January.

At the existing Chaum Health Screening Center, nurses had to manually check multiple systems—such as CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and EMR (Electronic Medical Records)—to design personalized screening plans for each client. Tasks such as documenting consultation records, follow-up care, and schedule management were also performed manually, resulting in a heavy workload.

The AI agent developed by LG Corp. integrates and analyzes dispersed health screening histories, results, consultation records, and schedules to immediately provide medical staff with the necessary information. It not only analyzes past test results and medical recommendations to suggest customized screening items and their rationale but also assists in drafting test result reports and preliminary diagnostic findings.

Pre- and post-examination procedures will also be automated. The AI agent generates a checklist of precautions before the examination and manages follow-up and monitoring schedules at 3-, 6-, and 9-month intervals after the examination. It also handles referrals to outpatient clinics for patients with abnormal findings and provides guidance on follow-up visits. The company is also considering the introduction of AI-based interpretation and translation services for foreign patients, who account for approximately 30% of the total clientele.

Starting with this collaboration, LG CNS plans to develop an Agent AI model specialized for health screening consultations and expand its application to Cha Hospital’s major screening centers in the future.

Kim Jae-hwa, President of Chaum, stated, “We will set a new standard for premium health screenings by incorporating cutting-edge AI technology,” while Bae Min, Executive Vice President of LG Corp.’s Financial and Public Sector Division, said, “We will apply our AX capabilities to the healthcare field to drive innovation in screening services and improve operational efficiency.”
