[Edaily Starin Choi Hee-jae Reporter] TV personality Jung Hyung-don spoke out, citing examples of excessive complaints from some parents.

On the 11th, Hwang Je-seong posted a video titled “Jung Hyung-don’s Masterful Interruptions That Prevent Hwang Je-seong From Saying a Single Word” on his YouTube channel, “Starting Today, Hwang Je-seong.”
During the meeting, Jung Hyung-don and Hwang Je-sung discussed a variety of topics. Jung Hyung-don broached the subject by telling Hwang Je-sung, “I’m going to tell you about complaints from parents. I can’t reveal the source, though.”
Jung Hyung-don explained, “Let’s say there are snacks A and B. When you’re handing them out, it’s possible that A might run out, right? Then a kid comes up and says, ‘Mom, I wanted snack A.’” He continued, “I heard that the parent immediately calls the school and says, ‘My child wanted snack A, so why did you give them snack B and make them choke?’”
Jung Hyung-don drew attention by emphasizing, “This is a mildly embellished version. It’s not a lie.”

Jeong Hyung-don also shared another story, saying, “Don’t they try to make sure younger students eat a variety of foods?” He surprised Hwang Je-seong by adding, “If a teacher says, ‘Try some kimchi,’ parents immediately file a complaint alleging child abuse. This is also a complaint I’ve toned down considerably.”
Jung Hyung-don shared his thoughts, saying, “It’s not about taking a black-and-white view that the past was good and the present is bad; it’s about recognizing that if something has become a social problem, we need to give it some thought.”
He continued emphatically, “If you’re going to speak your mind, and if you’re that worried, then don’t send your kids to school. Homeschool them.”
Jung Hyung-don added, “School isn’t just a place for education; it’s a place for children to grow up as decent human beings,” and continued, “If you’re only going to focus on education, don’t send them to school—keep them close to you. It’s a place where they learn how to live together.”
Jung Hyung-don married former writer Han Yu-ra in 2009, and they have twin daughters. He has appeared on various parenting shows, including Channel A’s “Parenting These Days: My Precious Little One,” which wrapped up last June, where he encountered a wide range of parenting issues.
