According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated computer network on the 14th, “The Martian” drew 449,039 viewers over the three-day weekend from the 11th to the 13th, securing the top spot at the box office.
Showing unstoppable momentum even in its sixth week of release, “The Odyssey” has recorded a cumulative total of 10,782,278 viewers and is on track to reach 11 million.
Second place went to the horror film “Obsession.” “Obsession” is gaining momentum through word of mouth, drawing 176,468 viewers over the weekend. Its cumulative audience stands at 474,807.
Third place went to “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” (Spider-Man 4). “Spider-Man 4” drew 84,713 viewers over three days, bringing its cumulative total to 8,930,406 and putting it on the verge of surpassing 9 million.
In fourth place is “The Drama,” which drew 29,472 viewers, while “Gyeongju Journey” took fifth place, bringing 17,002 viewers to theaters.
