SamsungElectronics will participate in the “2026 Green Hydrogen Global Forum,” taking place from the 14th to the 16th at the Jeju International Convention Center, to introduce the “EHS All-in-One” and the “EHS Heat Pump Boiler.” Both products are based on heat pump technology that utilizes thermal energy from the air and electricity to provide heating, cooling, and hot water.

The Green Hydrogen Global Forum, hosted by the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment and the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, seeks new directions for the global energy transition with a focus on AI-based renewable energy innovation and green hydrogen cooperation.

The EHS Heat Pump is an integrated solution that utilizes natural ambient heat and electricity to provide indoor heating, cooling, and hot water. Compared to conventional fossil fuel-based boilers, which have an energy efficiency of less than 100%, it can deliver more heat relative to the energy input, making it a promising next-generation product.

At this exhibition, SamsungElectronics displayed both actual products and technical concept diagrams to allow visitors to understand the heat pump’s operating principles and technical differentiators at a glance. Through detailed graphics illustrating the operating principles and seasonal usage scenarios, the company intuitively showcased how the product can be utilized in Jeju’s residential environment, along with its performance and energy efficiency.

SamsungElectronics’ EHS All-in-One is a product that simultaneously provides air conditioning—which directly cools the air using a single outdoor unit—as well as underfloor heating and hot water supply by heating water. It features a “Heat Recovery” function that reuses waste heat generated during the cooling process to produce hot water, resulting in high energy efficiency. The system uses R32 refrigerant, which has a Global Warming Potential (GWP) approximately 68% lower than the commonly used R410A refrigerant.

The EHS Heat Pump Boiler is a high-efficiency heating solution that utilizes natural ambient air heat and electricity to provide indoor heating and hot water. It achieves a Seasonal Coefficient of Performance (SCOP) of 4.9 under 35°C outlet water conditions, delivering heating energy efficiency nearly five times greater than its power consumption.

The EHS All-in-One provides cooling, heating, and hot water functions all at once with a single outdoor unit. It can create a customized environment tailored to a household’s needs throughout all four seasons. The EHS heat pump boiler delivers stable heating even during severe cold spells thanks to its high-efficiency refrigerant compression technology.

Both the EHS All-in-One and the EHS Heat Pump Boiler are equipped with intuitive touch displays. When linked to the SmartThings app, users can check indoor and hot water temperatures in real time and control the units remotely even when away from home.

SamsungElectronics is expanding its domestic distribution infrastructure by establishing a new production line for the “EHS Heat Pump Boiler” at its Gwangju plant and enhancing its expertise in installation and service. Additionally, the company is conducting field tests of the “EHS All-in-One” at single-family homes on Jeju Island and at the SAMSUNG C&T CORPORATION Residential Research Institute in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, to comprehensively evaluate its applicability in residential environments.
