[Edaily Reporter Shin Yeong-bin ] Samsung SDS (SAMSUNG SDS CO., LTD.(018260)) is expanding its collaboration with global artificial intelligence (AI) company Anthropic. The company is broadening its business scope beyond simply supplying Claude to include deployment, operation, and technical support, aiming to meet the AI transformation (AX) needs of domestic companies.

Samsung SDS announced on the 15th that it has become the first Korean company to achieve “Select Tier” partner status in AI firm Anthropic’s “Claude Partner Network (CPN).”
Last June, key executives from Samsung SDS and Anthropic gathered for a business meeting to discuss the expansion of their enterprise AI business. CPN Select Tier is a designation awarded to partners who possess certified technical personnel and have demonstrated experience in building and deploying Claude for joint customers in real-world operational environments.

Samsung SDS had previously secured the “Amazon Bedrock-based Anthropic Authorized Reseller” designation, an authorized reseller status that enables the company to supply Claude via Amazon Web Services’ (AWS) generative AI platform, “Amazon Bedrock,” and provide support for its implementation and operation.

With the addition of this CPN Select Tier certification, Samsung SDS has strengthened its one-stop AI adoption framework, which covers the entire process—from △Cloud implementation consulting and △Cloud provisioning via Amazon Bedrock to △service deployment and operation, and △technical support.

Samsung SDS plans to expand the development of Claude-based AI services and Agent AI tailored to the business needs of enterprise customers by combining Anthropic’s AI capabilities with its own digital innovation and AX (AI Experience) expertise accumulated across various industries, including the public sector, finance, manufacturing, and logistics.

The two companies signed a strategic partnership at the AI Summit held in San Francisco, U.S., last July and have since begun full-scale collaboration to expand their Claude-based enterprise AI business in the Korean market. They are working together to identify new business opportunities in the Korean market, conduct joint marketing and proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives, expand joint business operations, and train applied AI engineers.

In particular, Samsung SDS plans to systematically train applied AI engineers to support customers in the deployment, operation, and on-site application of Claude, thereby strengthening its service capabilities to handle everything from AI adoption planning to deployment, operation, and technical support for client companies.

Samsung SDS is also pursuing a “Client Zero” strategy, which involves first applying and validating new technologies internally before rolling them out to customers. The company has introduced Claude Enterprise into its internal operations to drive productivity innovation and currently provides Claude Enterprise to approximately 70,000 employees across 20 Samsung affiliates.

Based on this extensive experience with large-scale implementation across its own organization and affiliates, Samsung SDS plans to accumulate real-world corporate use cases and know-how regarding Claude and expand this expertise to support external clients’ AI adoption and AX initiatives.

Chris Chauri, Head of GTM at Anthropic International, stated, “Samsung SDS is a partner with the advanced technical capabilities and industry expertise needed to apply AI to real-world business operations in an enterprise environment.” He added, “By securing this CPN Select Tier status, we will further expand the strategic collaboration between our two companies and actively support Korean enterprises in maximizing productivity and achieving innovation through Claude.”

Lee Jun-hee, President and CEO of Samsung SDS, said, “By combining Anthropic’s cutting-edge AI technology with Samsung SDS’s accumulated experience in industry-specific digital innovation, we will support domestic companies in accelerating their AI adoption and creating tangible business value.” He added, “We will integrate global AI technologies, including Claude, with Samsung SDS’s multidimensional AI full-stack to support our customers’ successful AX initiatives.”
