[Edaily Reporter SOYEON KIM ] The Samsung AI Forum, now in its 10th year, will be held on the 30th at the Seocho headquarters in Seoul. This year’s keynote speakers will include Richard Ho, Head of Hardware at OpenAI, and David Green, AI Technology Leader at AWS.

The Samsung AI Forum is a technology exchange forum where experts from academia and industry gather to explore future directions in AI research. The event is divided into sessions for the Semiconductor (DS) Division and the Digital Experience (DX) Division. While the event will be held behind closed doors at the Seocho headquarters, some presentation sessions will be livestreamed online.

To mark its 10th anniversary, the forum will be held under the theme “Agentic Shift: From Intelligence to Influence.” This theme embodies the vision that AI will undergo a complete paradigm shift, moving beyond mere intelligence to become an action-oriented tool that actually gets things done on its own.

As in previous years, Jeon Young-hyun, CEO of SamsungElectronics and Head (Vice Chairman) of the Device Solutions (DS) Division, will deliver the opening remarks, followed by the opening keynote. The Samsung AI Forum brings together world-renowned scholars to discuss the future of AI technology. Keynote speakers at this year’s event include Ho, Head of Hardware at OpenAI; an AWS Green AI Technology Leader; Ranjay Krishna, a professor at the University of Washington; and Yoon Kim, Senior Vice President at Samsung Research.

Ho, Head of Hardware at OpenAI, will discuss productivity innovations enabled by AI models. In particular, SamsungElectronics and OpenAI are expanding their collaboration, which includes cooperation on the supply of memory for AI infrastructure as well as joint research and production of next-generation semiconductor chips. Additionally, SamsungElectronics officially introduced external generative AI services to its employees last June, enabling them to use ChatGPT to enhance their problem-solving capabilities.

A Green AI technology leader will take the stage to discuss how to generate results through AI in real-world environments, while Professor Krishna will speak on the topic of AI agents and the next stage of development.

While last year’s Samsung AI Forum spanned two days, this year’s event will feature a keynote speech in the morning, followed by separate sessions in the afternoon for DX and DS, each led by experts in their respective fields. Under the themes of AX (AI Transformation) innovation for DS and AI technology for DX, vice presidents from each business division will discuss AI technologies tailored to their respective divisions. Lee Kang-wook, Senior Vice President at SamsungElectronics Research, who was promoted to executive—the youngest in his 30s—at the end of last year, is also scheduled to present. He will speak on the topic of “The Continuous Growth of AI.”
