Her agency, Management Soop, stated on the 18th, “It is true that Lee Chung-ah was involved in a traffic accident,” adding, “We are currently discussing whether she will withdraw from ‘The Docile Killer.’”
Lee Chung-ah reportedly was involved in a traffic accident last month while traveling to a filming location. Although she had been juggling treatment and filming, her pre-existing back condition worsened, making it increasingly difficult for her to perform action scenes. Consequently, the production team and her agency are coordinating her potential withdrawal from the project, taking into account future filming schedules and the actress’s recovery progress.
Lee Chung-ah was scheduled to appear in *The Docile Killer* as Lee Hwa-ra, whose code name is “Miss Lee.” The drama depicts the story of a woman who had set her life’s goal on becoming a model wife and mother but finds herself unexpectedly entering the workforce.
Lee Chung-ah was also involved in a traffic accident last year. At the time, she revealed that she had injured her hip in the accident just before filming the drama *Honor: Their Court*, but due to scheduling constraints, she began filming without receiving sufficient treatment.
She later appeared on the YouTube channel “Yoo Yeon-seok’s Weekend Drama” and explained, “Around the time I was about to start filming the drama, I injured my hip in a traffic accident,” adding, “Because I missed the optimal window for treatment, the pain spread to my lower back and neck.” She also stated that she plans to rest and focus on her recovery after filming wraps up.
