Singer-songwriter Roy Kim shared these thoughts upon hearing that his solo concert at KSPO DOME—his first performance there since his debut—had sold out.
◇“Proof That the Path I’ve Walked Has Been Meaningful”
Roy Kim will hold his solo concert, “2026-27 Roy Kim Live Tour R:O:Y in Seoul,” on November 21–22 at the KSPO DOME in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul. Tickets sold out quickly through fan club pre-sales on the 16th and general sales on the 17th.
In a written interview with Edaily on the 18th, Roy Kim stated, “As I reflected on the journey I’ve taken since my first solo concert in 2013, my heart was deeply moved, and I felt a profound sense of gratitude.”
He continued, “It is thanks to ‘Royroze’ (his fan club), who have quietly stood by my side through all the ups and downs I’ve experienced in life, that I am able to experience this dreamlike moment,” adding, “I want to first express my gratitude to the fans who have proven that the path I’ve walked has been meaningful.” He also stated, “As I always have, I will steadfastly continue down this path—which warms my heart—together with ‘Roiroje.’”
The K-Sport Dome is one of the largest indoor concert venues in Korea, capable of accommodating more than 10,000 spectators per show. The only solo artists who have held or are scheduled to hold solo concerts there this year include Cho Yong-pil, Lim Jae-beom, Lee Seung-chul, EXO’s Baekhyun, Kim Jun-su, and Lee Chan-won.
Roy Kim, who officially debuted in 2013 after winning the Mnet audition show “Superstar K4,” has set a meaningful milestone in his career by performing at K-SPO Dome for the first time in 13 years.
Roy Kim has steadily expanded his audience through consistent concert activities. Since 2022, he has held annual year-end solo concerts, achieving sold-out shows for four consecutive years through last year.
Last year, he kicked off his “2025-26 Roy Kim Live Tour: Ja, Daumm” at the Ticketlink Live Arena, then embarked on a nationwide tour across five cities—including Busan, Daegu, Daejeon, and Goyang—to great acclaim.

◇“Sound, Lighting, and Setlist Meticulously Refined Each Year”
His agency, DEUL, cited his live performance prowess and high repeat attendance rate as the reasons behind Roy Kim’s steadily growing ticket-selling power.
A representative from DEUL explained, “The greatest strength of Roy Kim’s performances lies in the overwhelming immersion provided by his vocals and the deep connection he forms with the audience,” adding, “For audiences who expect a ‘true live’ experience, we meticulously refine everything from sound and lighting to stage movements and the setlist every year.”
They continued, “Another strength of Roy Kim’s performances is his ability to break down barriers with the audience through honest and witty banter,” adding, “Many audience members return to the venue based on their trust in the artist.”
Regarding the background behind planning the K-SPO Dome concert, he stated, “It was a challenge designed to help Roy Kim take a leap forward as a ‘live artist,’” explaining, “We were able to make this decision because we deeply trusted both the expansion of his fan base driven by his recent digital music achievements and Roy Kim’s competitive edge on stage as a ‘live artist.’”
Ahead of his first K-SPO Dome concert, Roy Kim expressed his excitement about meeting fans on a larger stage.
Roy Kim shared his resolve ahead of the concert, saying, “For all of you who have worked hard in your own ways this past year, and for myself—who will continue to move forward thanks to you—I look forward to connecting with you in a larger space, accompanied by even more voices.”
He continued, “I’ve always looked forward to the moment when my story—singing with all my heart, just as I am, without pretense—and your stories, as you weave your own memories into my songs, come together as one.” He added, “I’ll sing with all my might so that, on your way home after the concert, your steps and hearts will feel even a little lighter. I look forward to seeing you all at the venue.”
Meanwhile, Roy Kim will release his new song “Cry Out Loud” on the 6th of next month, prior to the concert. Following “If You Ask Me What Love Is” in 2024 and “I Can’t Express It Any Other Way” last year, this marks the third consecutive year he has unveiled a new song in October. With “If You Ask Me What Love Is” and “I Can’t Express It Any Other Way” still enjoying long-term success on major music charts, all eyes are on whether Roy Kim will produce yet another chart-topping hit.
Following his concert at K-SPO Dome, he will continue with overseas performances. He is scheduled to meet local audiences in Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Taipei next January, followed by a show in Tokyo in February.
