According to the official MTV VMA website on the 18th (local time), BTS, Blackpink, Cortes, and Cat’s Eye have been nominated in the “Best Group” category. In the “Best Song of the Summer” category, Cat’s Eye’s “HOOTIE FRUTTI” and “DRACULA”—a collaboration between BLACKPINK’s Jennie and Australian singer Tame Impala—were nominated. In addition to the newly announced “Best Group” category, BTS has been nominated in a total of three categories, including “Song of the Year” and “Best K-Pop.” BTS has won the “Best Group” trophy for four consecutive years, from 2019 to 2022.
