“The Assassin(s)” tells the story of people investigating the truth behind an assassination attempt on the First Lady during a Liberation Day celebration. Yoo Hae-jin plays Detective Cheol-gu, Park Hae-il plays Jae-hwan, the head of a newspaper’s social affairs department, and Lee Min-ho plays Yeong-il, a rookie reporter, as they work to uncover the truth. Directed by Hur Jin-ho, the film is based on the 1974 shooting of First Lady Yuk Young-soo.

Meanwhile, Director Lee Chang-dong’s *Possible Love*, which opened on the same day, ranked sixth with approximately 19,000 viewers (4.9%) on its first day. This Netflix film tells the story of two couples from different backgrounds: Ho-seok (Seol Kyung-gu), a laid-off worker, and his wife Mi-ok (Jeon Do-yeon); and documentary director Ye-ji (Jo Yeo-jeong), who wants to capture their lives on camera, along with her husband Sang-woo (Jo In-sung).
