[Edaily Reporter Ryu junha ] Actor Jo In-sung recently commented on his grueling schedule, saying, “Even though my body is telling me it hurts, when I see myself acting again, I can only describe it as love.”

Appearing on the YouTube channel “Baek Eun-ha’s Give and Take” on the 23rd, Jo In-sung opened up about his recent thoughts on acting. “I didn’t used to enjoy acting,” he recalled, adding, “I think I did it because I wanted to do well. I heard a lot of criticism that I wasn’t good enough, so I had to face those challenges and overcome them.”

He said, “There’s no reason you have to watch my work just because it’s mine. I will offer you my boundless physical labor,” adding, “I have to suffer so the audience can enjoy themselves. Actors have to struggle so the audience can enjoy themselves. I’ll go through the hardship, so please give me your love.”

Regarding *Possible Love*, he said, “(Director Lee Chang-dong) seems to have portrayed a very realistic kind of love,” adding, “If we look at it as if we were searching for a treasure, I felt there was hope to be found there.”

When he received Director Lee Chang-dong’s offer, he said, “Personally, I’ve actually played a lot of heroic characters,” adding, “I wanted to immerse myself in the director’s realistic worldview.”

Jo In-sung continued, “I think I’ve come to love movies even more these days. That’s the only way I can explain it.” Regarding why he continues to take on roles even while pushing his body to the limit, he said, “My body may be aching, but when I see myself acting, I can’t help but think this is love. It’s not a transaction. I love it unconditionally.”
