(Photo = AP Photo/Chris Pizzello)Lisa was named the winner in the “Best Pop” category for her song “Dream” at the “2026 MTV VMA,” held on the 27th (local time) at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles (LA), USA. “Dream” is a track from Lisa’s full-length album “Alter Ego,” released in February of last year. Lisa became the first Asian solo artist to win the “Best Pop” award at the VMAs. This year’s “Best Pop” category included “Dream,” as well as Ariana Grande’s “hate that i made you love me,” Charlie XCX’s “SS26,” Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drop Dead,” Sabrina Carpenter’s “House Tour,” Tate McRae’s “Nobody’s Girl,” and Taylor Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia.” Lisa had previously won the “Best K-Pop” award at the VMAs three times for “Lalisa,” “Rockstar,” and “Born Again.” After winning “Best K-Pop,” Lisa took home the trophy for “Best Pop” as well. As she took the stage, she said, “The dreams I held late into the night have brought me here today,” and her eyes welled up with tears.
