[Edaily Reporter An Yu-ri ] NC (NCsoftCorporation(036570)) has launched the global early access version of "Aion 2," which has topped the popularity charts and is off to a strong start globally.

On September 30, Aion 2 reached No. 1 on Steam’s global “Top Sellers” chart (based on sales). It ranked No. 1 in sales in 12 countries, including the U.S., France, Germany, Spain, and Brazil. Prior to launch, the game had over 1.3 million entries on Steam’s Wishlist.

This achievement came immediately after the game launched its global Early Access on September 30 (local time).

Following the Early Access period, NC plans to launch Aion 2 in full on October 5. All users who purchase the Aion 2 “Founder’s Pack” can participate in Early Access and experience the game before its official release.

Global service will be available through the PC gaming platforms Steam and PURPLE. Servers will be operated in four regions—North America, South America, Europe, and Asia (Japan)—with support for eight languages, including English, Japanese, French, German, and Spanish.

Aion 2 is an MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) developed by NCSoft and is the official sequel to “Aion: Tower of Eternity.” It was released in South Korea and Taiwan last November and became a massive hit. Aion 2 surpassed 100 billion won in cumulative revenue just 46 days after its launch and recorded revenue of 136.8 billion won in the first quarter of this year and 71.9 billion won in the second quarter. Cumulative revenue for the first half of the year totaled 208.7 billion won.
