[Edaily Marketin Kwon so hyun Reporter] With the legal framework now in place for tokenized securities (STOs) to enter the regulated capital market, a forum is being held to examine the issuance, distribution, settlement, and security infrastructure that will drive the actual market.
As part of “Korea Premium Week,” organized by the Financial Services Commission and the Korea Exchange (KRX), Edaily will host “STO Summit 2026” over two days, on the 1st and 2nd, at the KRX Conference Hall in Yeouido, Seoul. Under the theme “Rewriting Capital Markets: The Rise of Tokenized Securities,” this year’s STO Summit is focusing on regulatory changes in the tokenized securities market, global market trends, and the potential for practical commercialization.
On the second day, the session will focus on “Issuance, Distribution & Market Infrastructure,” examining the infrastructure required for tokenized securities to circulate as actual financial products, along with global case studies.
In the first session, Lee Yoon-soo, President of the Korea Securities Depository (KSD), will deliver the opening insights, discussing market infrastructure in the era of tokenized securities. KSD is at the center of developing the domestic token market, responsible for core infrastructure such as the issuance and registration of tokenized securities and the management of rights relationships.
Next, Park Gu-bin, Executive Director at Mirae Asset Management, will address the topic “Asset Management Firms’ Tokenization Strategies,” highlighting the potential of the tokenization market from an institutional investor’s perspective. He will share the experience and insights Mirae Asset Management has gained regarding overseas financial products related to tokenized securities.
There will also be a session introducing tokenization trends in the global market. Rania Raharja, Senior Director for the Asia-Pacific region at Onto Finance, will present “The Next Stage of Tokenization” based on asset classes already undergoing tokenization, such as U.S. Treasury bonds and listed stocks. Lee Seong-san, Head of Korea at the Solana Foundation, will explain Solana’s perspective on STOs and RWAs, as well as the potential of the Korean market.
In the subsequent panel discussion, domestic and international experts will come together to discuss the theme “The Full-Scale Race for Leadership in the Korean Tokenized Securities Market.” Chaired by Professor Yoo Soon-deok of Hansung University, the session will feature Lee Seong-san, Head of Korea for the Solana Foundation; Park Gu-bin, Executive Director at Mirae Asset Management; Son Seung-tae, Head of Division at KDX; and Rania Laharja, Senior Director for the Asia-Pacific Region at Ondo Finance, who will discuss the competitive landscape and growth potential of the Korean tokenized securities market.
Blockchain technology and interoperability—which form the foundation of the market infrastructure—are also key agenda items. Vibh Diwakar, CEO of Canton Foundation, will present on governance, privacy, and interoperability for institutional blockchains, while Justin Kim, Head of Asia at Ava Labs, will discuss strategies for building infrastructure for tokenized financial systems.
In the afternoon, the discussion will expand to cover the settlement and global distribution of tokenized assets, as well as data verification and security.
Lim Jong-kyu, Head of APAC at LayerZero, will present on tokenized finance and market infrastructure, while Kyle Sonlin, CEO of Global Settlement Network, will discuss strategies for building a global market for digital securities—from tokenization through to settlement.
The subsequent “Trust, Security & Digital Money” track will focus intensively on trust and security issues in the tokenization market. Marcin Kazmierczak, COO of Redstone, will discuss the verifiable data infrastructure required for Real-World Assets (RWAs), while Jo Won-ho, Head of Business at Lambda256, will explain the new financial rails for Security Token Offerings (STOs), as well as regulations and the role of institutions. Feiwei Wang, Senior Director at Certik, will present security strategies for the tokenized economy.
Ways to connect South Korea’s real-world assets with global on-chain capital will also be discussed. Brian Lu, APAC Director at Pinloop Technology, will explore the potential for connecting South Korea’s premium assets with on-chain capital under the theme “Hong Kong-South Korea RWA Flywheel.” Anna Liu, CEO of Haesiki RWA, will present the challenges involved in building an actual tokenized securities market beyond the institutional framework.
The latter part of the event will cover the practical operational infrastructure of the tokenization market, such as payment methods and institutional wallets. Lee Ji-min, Head of Scroll Korea, will discuss how tokenized assets will be traded and settled in the real economy, while Lee Do-yeon, Head of Utila Asia-Pacific, will present on strategies for building institutional wallet infrastructure and operational layers.
This STO Summit goes beyond domestic regulatory changes to cover global RWA market trends and real-world examples of financial infrastructure development, making it a key event for gauging the next phase of the tokenized securities market.
Although pre-registration for the second day of the STO Summit 2026 has already closed, on-site registration is still available. Anyone interested in tokenized securities, RWAs, digital assets, and capital market infrastructure is welcome to visit the venue and participate in the program.
