[Edaily Starin Gim Ga Yeong Reporter] In “Four Hands,” Lee Jun-young learns of Song Kang’s actions—which he was previously unaware of—through Jang Gyu-ri, prompting him to reexamine the suspicions he had long harbored.
The production team of tvN’s Saturday-Sunday drama “Four Hands” released a special preview clip on the 3rd ahead of the broadcast of Episode 11. The clip shows Choi Jeong-yo (played by Lee Jun-young) and Hong Jae-in (played by Jang Gyu-ri) discussing Kang Bi-o (played by Song Kang). Nine years ago, on the day of the international competition finals, Choi Jeong-yo was kidnapped by a mysterious group, suffered a gunshot wound, and has been unable to play the piano ever since. Since then, Choi Jeong-yo has relentlessly dug for clues to uncover the truth behind what happened to him. After hearing testimony that Kang Biao was behind the kidnapping and personally witnessing him handing money to the kidnappers, he vowed revenge. However, the true mastermind behind the incident was not Kang Bi-o but his mother, Kang Ji-hye (played by Yoon Se-ah); Kang Bi-o had merely intended to hand over money to the kidnappers in exchange for information to confirm whether Choi Jeong-yo was alive or dead. To make matters worse, after his mother threatened to kill herself if the truth came out, Kang Bi-o took full responsibility for everything himself, thereby cutting off even the slightest chance Choi Jeong-yo had of getting closer to the truth. In a newly released clip, Hong Jae-in asks Choi Jeong-yo—who continues to treat Kang Bi-o coldly—if he believes the rumors that Kang Bi-o is involved in the kidnapping, and she emphatically declares, “Absolutely not.” When Choi Jeong-yo responds coldly, asking how she can be so sure, Hong Jae-in raises her voice, pointing out that even when everyone else had given up on Kang Biao’s survival, she was the one who traveled all over the world searching for him until the very end. However, Choi Jeong-yo counters that this could have been an effort to confirm his death rather than his survival, and he does not trust Hong Jae-in’s words. Viewers are left wondering whether Hong Jae-in will be able to change Choi Jeong-yo’s mind—as he remains reluctant to trust Kang Biao—and whether Choi Jeong-yo will listen to Hong Jae-in’s words and reconsider his views on Kang Biao, or if he will ultimately continue to distrust him. “Four Hands” is a drama depicting the friendship, love, competition, and growth of young people who meet at an arts high school filled exclusively with musical prodigies. Starring Song Kang, Lee Jun-young, and Jang Gyu-ri, the series has been gaining popularity. It recorded a viewership rating of 7.9% for its eighth episode, and attention is now focused on whether it can set a new record for the remaining two episodes. Episode 11 of “Four Hands” will air on the 3rd at 9:30 p.m.
