[Edaily Starin Gim Ga Yeong Reporter] Comedian Kim Jun-ho is praying for the healthy birth of his son, “Durup-i” (pregnancy nickname).
In the 18th episode of E Channel and Channel S’s “Going All the Way! Solo Tour,” airing on the 3rd, features “close comedian friends” Kim Dae-hee, Kim Jun-ho, Jang Dong-min, Yoo Se-yoon, and Hong In-kyu on a trip to Gimcheon, North Gyeongsang Province. There, they enjoy various attractions at “Samyung Daesa Park” with Park Young-jin and perform the penalty for the “most solo participants”—“doing 108 prostrations on their behalf.”
Park Young-jin introduces “Samyung Daesa Park,” a famous landmark in Gimcheon. He explains, “The Gimcheon Gimbap Festival is held here every year. At some point, Gimcheon came to be recognized as a shortened form of ‘Gimbap Heaven,’ so they took a completely new approach and decided to hold the ‘Gimbap Festival,’” he explains. Park Young-jin then reveals, “I even brought along my ‘top pick’ gimbap—the one that tasted the best to me out of all the gimbap varieties across the country.”
Upon arriving at “Samyung Daesa Park,” the group enjoys a stroll along the walking paths. Park Young-jin says, “Isn’t it nice? ‘Mr. Durup,’ you must definitely come here with your child someday,” he urges. “Dureup’s Dad,” Kim Jun-ho, flashes a “dad smile” and remarks, “As expected, there are a lot of kids here.” However, the warm atmosphere is short-lived; upon arriving at the water sledding ride located high up, he puts on a stern expression, prompting Hong In-kyu to tease him, “Jun-ho, you’re scared right now.”
Next, the members head to “Yonghwasa,” an ancient temple in Gimcheon. Here, before the member designated as the “most frequent solo contributor” performs “108 prostrations on their behalf,” the “Solo Contributors” and Park Young-jin each make a wish. Among them, Kim Jun-ho prays for the safe birth of his “second child,” saying, “Please let Durup be born healthy,” while Hong In-kyu wishes, “Please let my son Tae-kyung, who’s a senior in high school, get into the university he wants.”
“The Solitary Burden Tour” is a groundbreaking reality travel variety show where every aspect of the trip is determined by “luck-of-the-draw games,” and the cast members pay for everything out of their own pockets. It premiered in 2023 to great popularity and has continued for multiple seasons. The current cast includes Kim Dae-hee, Kim Jun-ho, Jang Dong-min, Yoo Se-yoon, and Hong In-kyu. It airs every Saturday at 9:00 p.m.
