[Edaily Reporter KWON HYE-ME ] A public opinion poll found that 18.7% of all respondents selected independent lawmaker Han Dong-hoon as their preferred candidate for the next president from the conservative opposition.

According to the results of a regular survey conducted by “Opinion Poll Flower” on the 5th, which surveyed 1,004 adult men and women nationwide on the 2nd and 3rd, 18.7% of respondents named Rep. Han when asked to choose their preferred candidate for the next president from among seven figures in the broader opposition camp.

Following Rep. Han, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon and People Power Party Chairman Jang Dong-hyuk tied at 12.3%.

Next were former People Power Party lawmaker Yoo Seung-min at 8.2% and People Power Party lawmaker Lee Jin-sook at 6.2%. Former Reform Party leader Lee Jun-seok followed with 2.8%, and People Power Party lawmaker Ahn Cheol-soo with 2.1%.

This opinion poll is the result of the 171st regular automated telephone response (ARS) survey, with a margin of error of ±3.1 percentage points at a 95% confidence level, 100% wireless RDD, a contact rate of 32.3%, and a response rate of 2.0%.
