[Edaily Reporter Kwon Oh Seok ] #S&K POLYTEC CO., LTD. has finalized its merger with SUNJIN Co., Ltd., a company specializing in automotive electronic components for electric vehicles, and is now moving to secure future growth engines. S&K POLYTEC CO., LTD. announced on the 6th that it had finalized the absorption merger with SUNJIN Co., Ltd.

Previously, in June, S&K POLYTEC CO., LTD. had decided to acquire 100% of SUNJIN Co., Ltd.’s shares. Immediately after the acquisition was finalized, the company proceeded with the absorption merger to streamline management and establish a rapid decision-making system.
Through this merger, SUNJIN Co., Ltd.’s electric vehicle (EV) electrical component business will officially become a new business division of S&K POLYTEC CO., LTD. The company stated that by adding the EV electrical components business to its existing core business—high-density polyurethane (PU) foam—it has established a more diversified and stable business portfolio.
SUNJIN Co., Ltd is a company that has specialized in the production of key electric vehicle (EV) components, such as busbars and terminals, based on its precision press die machining technology and outstanding quality control capabilities. Following the merger, the company plans to enhance its market responsiveness through technological advancement and expansion of production capacity (CAPA).
An S&K POLYTEC CO., LTD. official explained, “We have successfully completed the process from acquisition to absorption merger without a hitch, establishing EV electrical components as a core pillar of our mid- to long-term growth,” adding, “Given the expected strong growth in the electrical components business, we will actively pursue equipment investment and quality improvements.”
On the 28th of last month, S&K POLYTEC CO., LTD. held an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders and passed a resolution to amend its articles of incorporation, changing the company name to “S&K Global.” Along with this, the company added new business objectives—such as the manufacture of automotive electronic components—to its articles of incorporation and has begun a full-scale restructuring.
