[Edaily Reporter Shin Ha-yeon ] DENTIS CO.,LTD(261200)announced on the 6th that the results of a clinical study using “Louis Button II” (hereinafter “Louis Button”), a product for attached gingiva formation, were published in the international periodontology journal *Journal of Clinical Periodontology* (JCP).
JCP is the official journal of the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP) and covers clinical research in the fields of periodontology and dental implants. Its current Journal Impact Factor is 8.3.

Luiberton is a product designed to stabilize soft tissue at the implant surgery site, replacing conventional sutures. It is applied when attaching the healing abutment and is designed to secure the soft tissue at the surgical site without the need for a separate suturing process.
This study was conducted as a randomized controlled clinical trial (RCT) involving actual patients. Professor Jeong Eui-won of Yonsei University College of Dentistry served as the principal investigator, and the research team included researchers from Yonsei University, the Central Veterans Hospital of the Korea Veterans Administration, and the Center for Dental Medicine at the University of Zurich in Switzerland.
To verify the clinical utility of the sutureless soft tissue management method using the Luiberton, the research team divided 30 patients into a Luiberton group and a conventional suture group, each consisting of 15 patients, and observed them for six months. The Luiberton group included a total of 20 implants.
The results showed that the keratinized gingival width decreased by an average of 0.46 mm in the Luiberton group, compared to a 1.23 mm reduction in the conventional suture group. This indicates that the reduction in keratinized gingival width was significantly smaller in the Luiberton group. The time required for the procedure was also reduced. The average suturing time in the Luiberton group was 44 seconds, which was approximately 78% shorter than the 198 seconds in the conventional suturing group.
DENTIS CO.,LTD explained that through this study, they confirmed in a randomized controlled trial (RCT) involving actual patients that the sutureless method using Luiberton has the potential to minimize the reduction in keratinized gingival width compared to conventional suturing methods, while simultaneously reducing the time required for the procedure.
A DENTIS CO.,LTD representative stated, “This study has confirmed the clinical utility of Luiberton through objective research results,” adding, “It is particularly significant that the results of this RCT involving actual patients were published in JCP, an international academic journal in the fields of periodontology and implantology.” The representative continued, “We plan to continue developing products that can enhance their utility in clinical practice while consistently gathering diverse clinical evidence.”
