[Edaily Kim Jinsoo Reporter] Cellbion Co., Ltd is accelerating its global business development following the entry of its prostate cancer treatment “Lu177-DGUL (focubotide satetrasetate)” into Phase 3 clinical trials in South Korea.

Cellbion Co., Ltd. announced on the 7th that it will participate in “Bio Japan 2026,” taking place from the 7th to the 9th at Pacifico Yokohama in Japan, to engage in partnering discussions with global pharmaceutical and biotech companies.

During the event, Cellbion Co., Ltd will hold one-on-one partnering meetings with approximately 19 global pharmaceutical and biotech companies. The company plans to introduce its key radiopharmaceutical therapy (RPT) pipeline, including Lu177-DGUL, and discuss various collaboration opportunities such as joint development, technology transfer (licensing), and regional commercialization.

This partnering initiative is noteworthy as it comes after Lu177-DGUL has entered the late stages of clinical development. Last September, Cellbion Co., Ltd received approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for its domestic Phase 3 clinical trial plan for Lu177-DGUL. Cellbion Co., Ltd plans to expand its engagement with overseas pharmaceutical and biotech companies in line with clinical progress and explore global business development opportunities.

Bio Japan is a major Asian biotech partnering event attended by global pharmaceutical and biotech companies, as well as research institutions. This year, 1,769 companies and institutions from 40 countries and regions worldwide will participate and hold one-on-one meetings.

Following Bio Japan, Cellbion Co., Ltd. will also participate in “Bio Europe,” taking place in Cologne, Germany, from the 9th to the 11th of next month. The company’s strategy is to participate in these consecutive global partnering events to solidify opportunities for overseas co-development and technology transfer of its RPT pipeline.

A Cellbion Co., Ltd official stated, “Since receiving approval for the Phase 3 clinical trial plan for Lu177-DGUL, we have been expanding discussions on collaboration with global partners,” adding, “Through events such as Bio Japan and Bio Europe, we will showcase our key pipeline and solidify business collaboration opportunities, including joint development and licensing.”
