(Photo = Yonhap News) The Netflix series “Sweet Part-Time Job” met with audiences during an open talk held on the 8th at the Loop Theater in the Busan Cinema Center in Haeundae-gu, Busan, as part of the 31st Busan International Film Festival (BIFF). Director Kim Da-min, Head of Planning Han Jun-hee, and actors Kim Min-ha and Choi Hyun-wook attended the event.
While delivering his closing remarks, Choi Hyun-wook drew attention by mentioning Lee Jae-wook, who plays the role of Hyuk-jun in “Sweet Part-Time Job,” saying, “He’s here on leave (from his military service).”
Lee Jae-wook, who enlisted in active duty last May and was unable to attend events related to *Honey Part-Time Job*, visited BIFF during his leave and watched the *Honey Part-Time Job* open talk from the audience.
Later, Lee Jae-wook took the stage and greeted the audience, saying, “I am currently fulfilling my duty to national defense.” He continued, “I’m very sorry I couldn’t attend today’s event,” but added, “The show is entertaining, so I hope you’ll enjoy it.”
He then expressed his affection for the show, saying, “‘Sweet Part-Time Job’ is a story that mirrors our own lives, so I think you’ll really relate to it.”
“Sweet Part-Time Job” is a survival horror series set in a bizarre employment agency that exclusively offers “sweet part-time jobs” starting at 50 times the minimum wage, following young Hyuk-jun (played by Lee Jae-wook) as he is thrust into nightmarish work environments.
Director Kim Da-min, who wrote the screenplay for the Netflix series *Killer: A Difficult Situation* and gained attention for the film *Makgeolli Will Tell You*, is directing the series. Han Jun-hee, who has built a solid body of work through series such as *D.P.* and *Weak Hero*, serves as the executive producer. The cast includes Lee Jae-wook, Ko Min-shi, Kim Min-ha, and Lee Hee-joon.
