Cafe24 Corp. announced on the 13th that it is launching “Shopping Passport,” a feature that allows consumers to retrieve and use their saved shipping addresses across multiple Cafe24-based online stores.

Shopping Passport is a feature that allows users to retrieve previously saved shipping information—after verification—rather than having to re-enter it for each online store. Even when visiting a store for the first time, selecting a saved shipping address automatically fills in the name, contact information, and address on the order form.

Non-members Can Also Retrieve Saved Shipping Addresses Immediately

Another key feature is that the service is available regardless of whether a user is registered. Previously, when purchasing items as a non-member, users had to re-enter their shipping information every time they switched online stores. With Shopping Passport, users can retrieve their saved shipping addresses and place orders without having to register separately.

To use this feature, simply click the “Search Address” button in the shipping address field when placing an order and select the “Shopping Passport” tab.

Next, authenticate using your preferred method—PassKey, Naver, or Kakao—and select the shipping address you want to use; the information will then be automatically entered into the order form. You can review or edit the entered information before placing your order.

Integration with Naver and Kakao Saved Shipping Addresses

In addition to addresses saved directly in Shopping Passport, shipping addresses stored on Naver and Kakao can also be retrieved after authentication.

Shipping information newly entered during the ordering process can also be saved to Shopping Passport on the order completion page for reuse at other online stores.

This approach reduces the repetitive process of entering shipping information on each individual online store while maintaining each store’s membership system and ordering/payment environment.

Personal information is used only within the scope selected by the user. After authentication, selecting a desired shipping address automatically populates the necessary information on the online store’s order form, and saved shipping addresses can be viewed, edited, or deleted directly from a separate management screen.

Also Useful for Merchant Sign-Up

It can also be used to help merchants acquire new members. On online stores where this feature is enabled, consumers can easily log in or sign up by authenticating with Shopping Passport.

Cafe24 Corp. anticipates that this will help sellers streamline the sign-up process to attract more new customers and maintain relationships with them even after their first purchase.

The shipping address saving and auto-fill features will be enabled by default starting November 2. Sellers can preview the features or adjust their settings in the admin panel starting October 21.

Lee Jae-seok, CEO of Cafe24 Corp., said, “The inconvenience of having to re-enter the same information every time a shopping site changes still remained,” adding, “Through Shopping Passport, we will simplify the consumer’s purchasing process and support merchants by reducing the burden of placing orders for first-time visitors, thereby securing more purchasing opportunities.”
