[Edaily Reporter Kim Hyung-il ] SOS LAB Co., Ltd.(464080), a provider of LiDAR-based spatial intelligence solutions, announced on the 15th that it has completed development of its new 3D fixed-mount LiDAR product, the “ML-I,” which integrates power and communication into a single cable to reduce installation burdens.

The ML-I supports PoE+ (Power over Ethernet Plus) and was developed for use in various infrastructure environments requiring multiple LiDAR sensors, including the LiDAR-based smart parking guidance solution “LPGS SPOT” and the real-time congestion monitoring solution “LCAS QMAP.”

For infrastructure solutions involving the installation of multiple sensors across large areas, cable costs and installation burdens increase as wiring distances grow and the number of cables rises. The ML-I focuses on reducing these burdens and improving the efficiency of solution deployment.

The ML-I supports the IEEE 802.3at (PoE+) standard, handling both power supply and data communication through a single Ethernet cable. Since there is no need to install separate power and communication lines, material usage and installation labor can be reduced. It also helps lower deployment costs by eliminating the need for separate power wiring at each installation point. The product features a fully solid-state design with no moving parts, enhancing durability and long-term operational stability.

The product line consists of two models, the “ML-I80” and the “ML-I120,” allowing customers to choose based on their installation environment and intended use. The ML-I80 supports a field of view of 80 degrees × 23.3 degrees and a detection range of up to 150 meters. The ML-I120 offers a wide field of view of 120 degrees × 35 degrees and can detect objects up to 100 meters away. They weigh 930 grams and 852 grams, respectively.

Both models can process 215,040 data points per second. With an operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C, they are suitable for a variety of indoor and outdoor environments.

Lee Sang-bin, Head of the Infrastructure Sales Division at SOS LAB Co., Ltd., stated, “The ML-I series is a product that substantially reduces the burden of on-site deployment by handling both power and data through a single PoE+ connection,” adding, “It goes beyond simply being a new product that enhances installation convenience; it is designed to expand LiDAR-based data solutions into a wider range of infrastructure environments.”

He continued, “We will continue to advance our field-centric products and solutions to expand our scope of application beyond smart parking and congestion management to various smart infrastructure areas, such as Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), thereby strengthening our competitiveness.”

Meanwhile, SOS LAB Co., Ltd. will unveil the ML-I at the “2026 ITS World Congress,” which begins on the 19th in Gangneung. At the booth, the company plans to showcase the actual new product alongside a real-time demonstration of LPGS SPOT, which uses LiDAR to simulate real parking scenarios.
